Seek and You Shall Find

Every so often, due to the nature of my work, I purposefully or accidentally discover yet another brilliant mind on this planet dedicated to intention and manifestation—one who has created and/or developed a spiritual or psychological process that helps us control our minds to reach higher levels of spiritual evolution. And to reach these higher levels sooner and faster than we have been currently able to do ourselves.

For the last two years, I’ve trained and worked with one of those brilliant mindsDr. Stanley H. Block, creator of the Bridging and Awareness system. This process he created has been nothing less than amazing in my life and the lives of those I spiritually counsel at www.shockcounseling.org.

Currently, Dr. Block’s work is used by veterans returning home from Iraq suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Extremely well received by these veterans, the Bridging and Awareness system helps alleviate or reduce several manifestations such as insomnia, violence, depression, and acute anxiety, to name just a few.

For decades, I’ve personally suffered from depression due to extreme poverty issues in my childhood, the loss of my parents when I was fourteen, and molestation from my father as a little boy. To be quite frank, these childhood issues motivated me to delve into what was then called the “self-help” movement, back in the mid-1980s.

Working through my issues motivated me to find out how thought leaders dealt with and overcame the experiences I was blessed with at such an early age. I wanted to know how, what, and who they studied to come out on the other side seemingly enlightened, enriched, and free from pains of the past.

I was introduced to metaphysics at age ten by the Reverend Doctor Johnnie Colemon and Reverend Helen Carry. And in my twenties, motivational speaker Les Brown took me under his wing and taught me that I deserved the best. This knowledge motivated me to launch my own Internet magazine, EmpowerMag.com, which allowed me access to great minds such as Brian Tracy, Deepak Chopra, and Wayne Dyer. I soon developed the habit of reading a book, a week, on behavioral sciences, business, and spiritual science, and have done so since 1990.

As my spiritual and psychological knowledge base grew from reading to personally interviewing the authors of the books I read, so did my demonstrations and manifestations (grow). I then began transcending out of my self-taught victimization thinking of my childhood that once found me plotting the murder/suicide of my father. Once I delved deeper into revealing the power in my perceived misfortunes by reframing and finding the blessings in the tragedies—a process I learned first from Dr. John F. Demartini—I later realized this was what Dr. James Pottenger called shifting to second reality (more on both spiritual masters, later).

However, I can say that only a few books and a small number of spiritual and psychological masters have radically altered my thinking and seemingly collapsed space/time with a level of wisdom for which I still sometimes can’t find words. As I ascended into my wisdom, I began to write about it, and spirit revealed to me the term: S.H.O.C.K.: Seeking Higher Omnipotent Conscious Knowledge.

I next developed The SHOCKphilosophy™ —a distillation of years of study about what works and what doesn’t—harnessed in eight spiritual principles. In fact, The SHOCKphilosophy™ was partially responsible for my ordainment as a minister from the Los Angeles Community Church of Religious Science.

The Three Gurus
I remember having a spiritual epiphany after I interviewed three spiritual masters and then wrote about them some time ago. I called them the “Three Ds”, which stood for Dr. John F. Demartini, Wayne Dyer, and Deepak Chopra. After reading countless books authored by Deepak and Dyer, speaking with them (both) humbled me on deep spiritual matters. But I was most astounded with Dr. John F. Demartini when I interviewed and attended his Breakthrough Experience where he demonstrates the Quantum Collapse Process. A New York University spokesperson said, “If Carl Jung were alive today, he would be using Dr. John F. Demartini’s work!”

Quantum Gurus
Within the last ten years, I discovered the power and spiritual application of quantum physics. And about five years ago, I accidentally saw a quirky movie called “What the Bleep Do We Know?” after facilitating The SHOCKphilosophy™ at Christ Unity Church, in Sacramento, where I now live. An audience member shouted out to me in the middle of my workshop, “Hey, is your work based upon the movie, ‘What the Bleep?’?” I immediately retorted, “What the bleep are you talking about?” Then the entire audience began telling me about this great movie that supported, confirmed, and affirmed the work to which I had dedicated my life.

I flew to my old home in Chicago, bought a movie ticket, and watched a phenomenal group of thought leaders scientifically postulate the power of the intention and how the brain creates reality through the mind. Honoring my own research-and-development mind, I quickly set up interviews with most of the experts featured in the movie, including the filmmakers and directors Mark Vicente and Will Arnts. I was so impressed, and still am, with Dr. Joe Dispenza, who dedicated his life to the study of the brain and how it creates thought, behaviors, and subsequently our reality, especially when he espoused how he creates his day—a process he was taught by Ramtha.

JZ Knight and Ramtha
During my research on the movie, I soon realized that “Bleep” would never have been made if not for a stunning woman by the name of JZ Knight—the channel for Ramtha. Ironically, I’ve never been to JZ’s ranch in Yelm, nor have I attended the eight-day retreat at the Ramtha School of Enlightenment; but somehow I was already discovering the wisdom and language of this ancient teaching.

This non-local wisdom allowed me to have deep conversations with JZ, and after her appearance on The Philippe Matthews Show (interview release coming soon), I purchased her book simply entitled: Ramtha, better known in the spiritual underground as “The White Book” because of its pure-white cover and raised, white text.

Each page I read was like a brain scan. Chapters in the White Book were similar to passages I wrote in The SHOCKphilosophy™. I then realized why audience members in Sacramento thought my work was based on “What the Bleep?”. To this day, I can’t explain this quirky phenomenon other than recognizing the power of non-local communication—until I saw the movie, I’d never heard of JZ or Ramtha. But, damn it, I’m glad I know about them now!

If you have not read Ramtha yet, CLICK HERE to order it, or run to your local bookstore and get a couple of copies. Shut off your phone, lock yourself in a room, and devour the wisdom and power within these magical pages. Why do I suggest getting two copies? Because you’ll have so many annotations and highlights in the first copy, it will cease to be legible! Additionally, you will not be able to read this book only one time, you will read and study this book like many fundamentalists read and study the bible!

On a personal note and from personal observation, JZ Knight has caught untold flack for developing and maintaining a wisdom school, for more than twenty years, based on channeling a thirty-thousand-year-old warrior by the name of Ramtha. I must go on record, however, and say that I love JZ Knight and I believe in the wisdom of Ramtha. JZ is a powerful woman who must be honored for the battles she went through to live and release her truth.

Dr. James Pottenger and Holographic Psychology
By introduction from Rev. Dr. Larry James Stevens, I met another spiritual and psychological master: Dr. James Pottenger, creator of Holographic PsychologyTM/Science of Spirit. You may not have heard of HP/SOS yet, but in the coming months and years it will globally impact how all humans process and live reality.

HP/SOS is based on three realities that correlate to three levels of psychology: Behavioral, Humanistic, and Transpersonal. Dr. Pottenger was a protégé of Dr. Ernest Holmes, author of Science of Mind and founder of Religious Science. Pottenger was secretly given the assignment to write the next chapter to Science of Mind and expand Dr. Holmes’ work after his passing. Unfortunately, there were sciences not yet developed when Pottenger was given this assignment; but once those sciences emerged—quantum physics, transpersonal and humanistic psychology—he produced a spiritual and psychological process that has since been presented to only approximately one percent of the world population.

The description of genius is almost an insult to describe this man, as I have not found a word(s) that describes his luminous and diligent mind. If you are not familiar with Holographic Psychology, visit our Resources page on the SPI website: http://www.shockinstitute.com/resources.htm to gain instant access to websites and resources on this spiritual self-mastery system that taught me how to practice the (my) pre-existing potential (more on this in future blog entries).

It’s about 4 a.m. now, and I began writing this blog at exactly 3 a.m. I awakened very early with a sense of urgency, clarity, and gratitude to share my thoughts about just a few of the thought leaders who’ve most impacted and shaped my thinking.

Finally Coming to My Senses
About two years ago, I received a book called Come To Your Senses, written by a psychiatrist and former Beverly Hills psychoanalyst, Dr. Stanley H. Block. For years I’ve studied and developed processes to train the mind, distill thinking, focus intention, and manifest reality; but there still seemed to be something attacking my ability to focus, making it difficult to concentrate on the very thing I knew to do for manifesting the reality I desired. I also realized that millions of people have gone through countless books and experts, only to find themselves still stuck in a psychological, spiritual, and environmental rut. Overwhelmed by all the information they’ve had to process, some find themselves just plain immobilized from not knowing what to do first, or how to activate the wisdom and knowledge they already know or to which they have access.

In one of my audio presentations, “The Six Metaphysical Myths,” I shocked the new-thought community when I purported that the ego is not a psychological/spiritual force standing in the way of your next-level reality, but, in fact, nothing more than a homeostatic vessel maintaining the integrity of your current value system, beliefs, and reality, and has absolutely no power to help or hinder you in any way. With this postulation, how, then, do I reconcile with the aforementioned maladies of manifestation? Viola . . . introducing your Identity System.

Dr. Block, through years of counseling patients, discovered a psychological process in the brain that causes us to take spiritual knowledge, education, and wisdom, and distort it (them) into a looping, cyclical system that literally keeps us in what Dr. James Pottenger would call First Reality. I call it simply . . . STUCK!

To neutralize and counter this psychological dilemma, Dr. Block developed a process called “bridging and awareness” that causes the brain to temporarily and instantaneously halt all mental chatter! Remember principle 8 of The SHOCKphilosophy™ —Conquer Your ANTs (Automatic Negative Thoughts)? Yeah, Dr. Block’s method sprays psychological raid on these ANTs, to capture them before they reinforce a negative behavior or create a new one!

What happens every time you go to actively still your mind through some form of meditation? You spend the first thirty minutes trying to get your mind to shut the hell up! What happens when you sit down to practice Ramtha’s C&E breathing technique? You fight the mental chatter, thus the need for the loud music used in the method.

What is the number-one reason millions of people procrastinate? Answer: they have too many thoughts running through their mind at the same time, which cancels out the process to do the work necessary to still the mind! This is why most people purchase thousands of dollars worth of self-help systems and never even do the work. And also the reason we have exercise bikes and equipment in our basement catching dust—the brain noise keeps canceling our desire to do and to change. It’s the reason we don’t take action and can't “get past go” in our lives.

SPECIAL NOTE
C&E Breathing Technique, by the way, is one of the most powerful processes I’ve found to anesthetize the Neocortex, or big brain as it’s sometimes called; but you can’t do this technique when you’re driving, preparing for a presentation, wanting to instantly process the information in a book, or concentrate on an educational audio CD. Dr. John F. Demartini developed the QCP (Quantum Collapse Process) —a process that collapses all emotional charges and lopsided perceptions, but takes at least thirty minutes to an hour depending upon the depth of the emotional charge. Again, the QCP is another powerful modality to instantaneously shift the mind, but it takes time to go through the exercise and is best done with someone certified in the Quantum Collapse Process.

I was looking for a psychological technology that 1) instantaneously bypassed my mental chatter, and 2) gave me clarity and focus by quieting my mind long enough to do the work necessary to create long-term potentiation—basically writing a long-term memory in my brain to lock in a new reality.

As I’m certified by Dr. Block to use bridging and awareness techniques in my SHOCKcounseling (www.shockcounseling.org) practice, I realize the power and privilege of learning directly from the prodigy rather than just the protégé. With that said, I’d like you to take whatever spiritual discipline you are currently engaged in and learn everything you can from Dr. Block, directly, on how to Neutralize Your Identity System through Bridging and Awareness.

There are two upcoming events to which I’d like to personally invite you. The first one: to be on the call with Dr. Stanley H. Block as I discuss with him the deeper levels of using bridging and mapping to lock-in any spiritual modality/process you may currently be practicing. You may speak, live, to Dr. Block when you join The Spiritual Evolution Series at www.shockevolution.com. Check the calendar on the website for the date and time as Dr. Block will teach and discuss the process of using bridging and awareness to lock in any spiritual or self-help modality you may currently be practicing.

Secondly, I’ve invited Dr. Block to personally work with you when you sign up for The SHOCKphilosophy Institute of Advanced Manifestation’s first annual SHOCKcruise (www.shockcruise.com) to Bermuda, September 23-30, 2007. If you register now, or make a partial payment, you will reserve the price of only $946.62! (airfare not included) Go to www.shockcruise.com, right now, or call Sandi at 1-888-579-6845, and lock in your time with Dr. Block. Whether you deal with acute anxiety, manic depression, spiritual plateaus, anger management, PTSD, or OCD (Obsessive Compulsion Disorder), the science of bridging will have a positive life-altering effect for the rest of your life.

You owe it to yourself to Seek Higher Omnipotent Conscious Knowledge (SHOCK)!

Seek and you shall find . . .

God bless you, and thank you for allowing me into your life.

Sincerely,

Rev. Philippe “SHOCK" Matthews

Phillipe,

What a wonderful post! Thank you for being so candid about your past. I have a renewed and deepened respect for the work that you do. It is amazing how the most painful experiences in our lives end up being the catalysts for our greatest endeavors if we are able to tap into the strength needed to overcome the pain. You are a shining example of this type of transformation and dedication to personal empowerment.

Thank you for being you!

Sincerely,
Wendy C. Williams.

I too congratulate you for being so candid. My name is David Todd Singleton. I am a recording star/artist and I also was 'exploited' by my father at a young age - 3-8 years. Terrible to get over. But, after many years of alcoholism and drugs - enough was enough. I have laid all that down and am doing much better now. I feel happy and my 'work' has begun again on my music and book. I wish you all the best. I just wanted to mention my CD, "ThunderSounds" on iTunes now. It is a great way to meditate and 'center'. Enjoy.
